Head of Institutional Onboarding (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end institutional onboarding process from initial outreach to account activation.
• Design and implement scalable onboarding workflows to reduce time-to-live for institutional clients.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for institutional counterparties during the onboarding phase.
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and product teams to resolve blockers and negotiate documentation.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of institutional prospects and report on key performance metrics to leadership.
• Identify and resolve process bottlenecks to improve overall onboarding efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in financial services, specifically in client onboarding, institutional sales support, or operations.
• Deep familiarity with KYC, KYB, and AML processes.
• Proven track record of owning client-facing processes end-to-end.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple institutional onboardings simultaneously.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and building structure from scratch.
• Clear, direct communication skills suitable for representing the company to sophisticated financial counterparties.

Nice to have

• Experience at a crypto exchange, prediction market, or alternative trading platform.
• Familiarity with CFTC-regulated entities and derivatives/swaps documentation.
• Experience hiring and managing a small operations or onboarding team.
