Software Engineer III (Palantir Foundry)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; role listed in Birmingham, Alabama

What you will do

• Develop and enhance production solutions on the Palantir Foundry platform.
• Build data pipelines, transformations, applications, APIs, and integrations using Foundry tools and platform components.
• Develop platform components with Python and TypeScript and support workloads involving Databricks, AWS Glue, and related technologies.
• Address security requirements and vulnerabilities, and perform functional and security validation after platform changes.
• Troubleshoot issues across pipelines, APIs, platform components, and integrations.
• Collaborate with architects, security teams, data engineers, and application teams to deliver production-ready changes independently.

Requirements

• At least five years of data-engineering or software-engineering experience.
• At least three years of substantial hands-on Palantir Foundry development experience building production solutions.
• Strong Python development experience and experience developing APIs and completing API integrations.
• Experience with Foundry development tools, data pipelines, transformations, platform components, infrastructure, and security.
• Experience with modern data-engineering platforms and workflows, with the ability to contribute with minimal platform training.

Nice to have

• TypeScript, Databricks, AWS Glue, and AWS cloud experience.
• Experience implementing security controls or resolving Palantir Foundry vulnerabilities.
• Banking or financial-services experience.
