Staff Software Engineer (Snowpark Container Services)

Location: Hybrid in Menlo Park, California, or Bellevue, Washington; ability to work on-site in the downtown Bellevue office is required.

Salary: $200,000–$287,500 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop product features based on customer requirements and business goals.
• Lead and mentor engineers while defining technical direction and strategy for critical product areas.
• Manage project delivery across design, coding, reviews, testing, observability, tooling, and on-call support.
• Build reliable and fault-tolerant software for large-scale customers.
• Improve service reliability, availability, debuggability, performance, operational readiness, and maintainability.
• Design Kubernetes-based, OCI-compliant container compute capabilities with multi-cloud and multi-tenant support.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience building large-scale systems or infrastructure platforms.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and experience building distributed systems.
• Hands-on coding experience in Java, C++, or Go.
• Experience building products or services with Kubernetes.
• Experience designing products and features with AWS, Azure, and GCP support.
• Experience implementing multi-tenant systems focused on performance, isolation, and security.

Nice to have

• Experience with highly scalable cloud-native compute platforms.
• Experience working on early-stage products or services with significant technical impact.
