Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; relocation eligible; travel up to 10%

What you will do

• Create process, module, and device integration solutions for quantum platforms and structures.
• Develop new materials, processes, and structures for quantum devices with cross-functional teams.
• Design and conduct process engineering experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret material and device properties.
• Troubleshoot complex engineering issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
• Prepare internal and external product documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with customers, start-ups, universities, vendors, and suppliers to identify problems and develop enabling solutions.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree.
• Strong semiconductor background and expertise in process and device integration.
• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant engineering discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Ability to solve complex problems using analysis from multiple information sources.
• Ability to explain difficult information and build consensus across teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of quantum information, superconducting qubits, or optical quantum computing.
• Experience with advanced materials engineering, semiconductor processing, or metasurface-based optics.
• Experience collaborating with system companies, start-ups, or universities.
