Legal Counsel, Payments & Fintech

hirify.global is a global commerce company that provides tools and services for video game developers to fund, distribute, market, and monetize games, operating as a merchant of record for global payments.

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with payment service providers, acquirers, card networks, payment facilitators, banks, and other financial partners.
• Advise on end-to-end payment processing, including payment methods, providers, global money flows, settlement, chargebacks, refunds, reserves, and holdbacks.
• Support KYC/KYB, AML/CFT, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence processes across markets.
• Advise on licensing, entity structuring, payment-system connections, and expansion into new markets.
• Analyze new and proposed regulations affecting money movement, payment strategies, and business initiatives.
• Partner with product, technology, business operations, and management teams to launch compliant payment products and services.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the United States and in good standing.
• At least 5 years of legal experience in fintech, banking, and/or payments.
• Expertise in payments and familiarity with U.S. and international regulations, including money transmission, BSA/AML, PSD2, MiCA, and card network rules.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial, financial services, technology, licensing, vendor, and partnership agreements.
• Ability to provide practical legal advice and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
