Senior Electrical System Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain electrical system architectures for spacecraft missions, from specification through integration.
• Perform requirements engineering and manage electrical interfaces across onboard hardware and subsystems.
• Support electrical power, onboard data handling, satellite communications, remote sensing, and robotics engineering activities.
• Define verification, validation, test, and AIV/T plans; support equipment definition, integration, testing, technical reports, and flight operations.
• Prepare lifecycle documentation, including FMEA, design and development plans, review materials, and in-orbit operating procedures.
• Prepare and review RFPs, supervise subcontractors, and support procurement and technical reviews of electrical system units.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in the space industry, preferably in systems, avionics, data handling, or power electronics.
• Experience with system-level requirements, interfaces, technical documentation, and formal reviews such as PDR and CDR.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and manage multiple technical topics in parallel.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in electronics analysis, design, build, testing, and fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of ECSS, MIL, and other common space standards, including tailoring.
• Experience with EMC constraints and mitigation measures.
• Technical team leadership experience.
• Experience working with institutional customers such as ESA or the UK Space Agency.
