Senior Database Reliability Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from Türkiye; fixed working hours from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM EST.

Salary: $5,000–$9,500 gross per month in USD.

What you will do

• Architect, design, upgrade, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, and RDS with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Drive the infrastructure roadmap toward higher reliability, recoverability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Lead capacity planning, benchmarking, stress testing, bottleneck analysis, and preparation for business growth.
• Define and maintain SLAs, alerts, anomaly detection, observability, security, and CI/CD practices.
• Improve distributed microservices architecture, infrastructure automation, developer productivity, and internal tooling through AI.
• Mentor engineers and translate business goals into technical roadmaps while leading complex initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in Türkiye and available for the fixed 6:00 AM–2:00 PM EST schedule.
• 6+ years of software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience, including significant SRE and backend experience.
• Strong Golang skills and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Expertise with SQL-based relational databases, especially MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema and query optimization at scale.
• Proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic, plus distributed systems design patterns.
• Experience with Claude or an equivalent large language model tool is required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is also required.

Nice to have

• AWS infrastructure experience, especially Aurora RDS with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with data engineering, data pipelines, and data warehousing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying containerized microservices on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Codex, or Cursor.
• Experience shipping commercial APIs and data-driven applications in high-growth environments.
