Senior Underwriter - E&O

Location: Remote in the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.

Salary: $110,000–$140,000 per year, subject to geographic differentials.

What you will do

• Manage, examine, and analyze broker-submitted E&O risks.
• Determine whether submissions fit the targeted class of business.
• Set appropriate limits, pricing, coverage, and policy terms.
• Ensure considered and bound risks comply with delegated authority, underwriting standards, peer review, risk selection, and pricing methodologies.
• Document underwriting activities and decisions in policy files.
• Build broker relationships and support E&O business plans and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of underwriting experience.
• Experience underwriting E&O, especially Architects and Engineers or Contractor Professional Liability.
• Knowledge of E&O underwriting practices, coverage, and pricing or rating methodologies.
• Knowledge of the E&O market, producer and competitor marketplace, and insurance company operations.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
