Central Market (Houston) Scratch Bread Baker - Part Time

Location: Houston, Texas; onsite at a Central Market store

Salary: USD $17.50 per hour

What you will do

• Mix, shape, bake, wrap, price, sell, and stock bakery products.
• Execute daily production lists and perform quality checks before products reach the sales floor.
• Maintain sanitation and organization across storage, freezer, walk-in, and production areas.
• Order and receive products and supplies, monitor shrink, and maintain transfer records.
• Prepare customer samples, answer ingredient questions, take phone orders, and provide customer service.
• Use suggestive selling techniques to support sales.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of related experience.
• Ability to handle commercial production; commercial production experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to calculate weights, discounts, percentages, and volumes.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and perform bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Availability must include days, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
