Principal, Security Engineer

What you will do

• Lead the engineering design and modernization of enterprise directory services and identity platforms.
• Design, build, and operate large-scale, multi-domain Active Directory environments across multiple geographies.
• Improve reliability, resiliency, security, and operational excellence across identity infrastructure.
• Develop IAM capabilities covering authentication, directory services, access management, and identity lifecycle processes.
• Build automation and tooling to simplify operations, improve scalability, and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with security, infrastructure, and platform teams; troubleshoot complex identity and integration issues as the highest level of technical escalation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in identity and access management, directory services, or infrastructure security engineering.
• Deep expertise in administering, engineering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory and Entra in large enterprise environments.
• Experience designing, migrating, or modernizing complex multi-domain Active Directory environments.
• Strong knowledge of LDAP, Kerberos, Group Policy, DNS, authentication protocols, and directory service architecture.
• Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical identity infrastructure and building continuous controls around AD, Entra, and IAM platforms.
• Strong scripting or software development skills in Python, Java, or similar languages, plus a bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise-scale Active Directory transformation programs.
• Experience with Entra ID, Okta, or other enterprise identity platforms.
• Experience integrating IAM solutions with cloud and hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of identity governance, privileged access management, access lifecycle management, open-source technologies, and custom platform development.
• Understanding of security architecture, zero trust principles, and modern authentication technologies.
