Senior Security Platform Engineer - DevSecOps

Location: NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote or from home

What you will do

• Lead and enhance DevSecOps and secure software development lifecycle practices.
• Embed security testing into development workflows and support shift-left security.
• Automate security, compliance, and software supply chain controls using policy-as-code.
• Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with automated controls, quality gates, and assurance.
• Provide security guidance through code reviews, architecture reviews, and developer support.
• Drive security automation, platform management, governance, and continuous improvement across cloud and application environments.

Requirements

• Qualification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, PowerShell, APIs, and GitOps practices.
• Hands-on experience in application security, vulnerability management, and shift-left security.
• Experience with CI/CD governance, Infrastructure-as-Code, Policy-as-Code, repository management, and security compliance automation.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
