Packaging Designer

Location: Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands; hybrid working

What you will do

• Design packaging for new toy and game products, from early product concepts through production.
• Improve packaging for established brands and develop stronger ways to present products internationally.
• Shape brand expression, hierarchy, structure, photography, typography, and shelf impact.
• Collaborate with product, brand, and commercial teams across Europe, the UK, the US, and Hong Kong.
• Work with photographers, illustrators, and external agencies when needed.
• Develop concepts into producible packaging by applying knowledge of print, packaging structures, artwork, and production.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio of consumer packaging produced and sold at retail.
• Around 7–10+ years of relevant design experience.
• Strong conceptual and graphic design skills.
• Very good typography and composition skills.
• Solid knowledge of packaging, print, and production.
• Excellent skills in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Nice to have

• Experience with consumer brands, preferably in toys, games, FMCG, or a similar category.
