Solution Architect - Payment Gateway (Fintech)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia — hybrid work after mutual agreement

Salary: from €3,200 gross per month, depending on knowledge, experience, qualifications, and expertise.

What you will do

• Own and contribute to the architecture and design of a modern cloud-based payment gateway built from scratch.
• Define technical standards, architecture principles, best practices, non-functional requirements, and architecture documentation.
• Translate business and functional requirements into secure, scalable, and compliant technical solutions.
• Evaluate third-party integrations and APIs and provide technical guidance for new and existing integrations.
• Facilitate technical reviews, architecture discussions, technology decisions, and troubleshooting with developers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Assess technical and security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and propose mitigation measures and long-term improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or in a similar senior technical role.
• Strong experience with cloud-based and distributed architectures, including scalability, availability, security, and performance.
• Understanding of non-functional requirements, architectural patterns, integration principles, and API design.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices and secure-by-design principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently and own architectural topics.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English; hybrid work in Bratislava.
