Senior Software Engineer in Test (Payments)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam office

What you will do

• Own test strategy planning, prioritization, execution, maintenance, and testing best practices for FundsCore platforms.
• Determine test coverage and test types from user stories, system designs, code, and product quality standards.
• Identify critical test cases and automate existing manual coverage while retiring obsolete tests.
• Design, review, build, extend, and customize medium- and large-scale testing frameworks and suites.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including product and system design reviews.
• Contribute to bug fixing and operational excellence, including on-call duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience with strong coding and test automation skills.
• Proficiency in Golang or Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience building test suites, using mocks, improving test coverage and reliability, and integrating test steps into automation pipelines.
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, services, system architecture, observability, SLAs, security, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Experience applying Generative AI to improve work productivity.
• Experience writing design documents and maintaining runbooks and other technical documentation.
