Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Frontend)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; hybrid setup

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated frontend and E2E tests, complemented by manual and exploratory testing.
• Define and refine frontend test strategies based on risk and business impact.
• Own and expand the E2E test pipeline, keeping it stable, fast, and reliable.
• Communicate test coverage, quality status, and risks to support delivery decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Designers, and other QAs in self-organized agile teams.
• Apply security, usability, accessibility, and performance testing practices to complex user flows.

Requirements

• Several years of experience testing web applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated frontend tests.
• Proficiency with Playwright and TypeScript, or comparable experience with modern E2E frameworks such as Cypress.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD test pipelines and diagnosing flaky tests.
• Understanding of microservices environments and continuous delivery.
• Excellent English communication skills required; German is appreciated but not required.
