Validation Engineer (Quantum Control Systems)

Location: Israel or Germany, based on candidate location; the Israel position is full-time at the Tel Aviv office.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and execute validation plans for quantum control platforms and complex hardware-software systems.
• Develop automated testing infrastructure and implement system tests based on defined validation plans.
• Collect, analyze, and document test and experiment data to evaluate system performance and identify improvements.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across system components in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Define test coverage and quality acceptance criteria with R&D and product teams.
• Perform regression testing, support CI/CD releases, and maintain, calibrate, and improve laboratory test setups.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience with Python or another high-level programming language.
• Strong understanding of hardware-software system architecture and debugging.
• Experience in validation, test automation, or system integration.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with laboratory instruments and signal-processing tools.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools and LLM-based coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor to develop test code and validation tooling.
• Experience evaluating AI-generated code and integrating it into test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
