Working Student Automation

hirify.global develops, designs, and produces small unmanned aerial systems, including electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft with edge computing and real-time AI-powered data processing.

What you will do

• Identify inefficiencies, recurring problems, and improvement opportunities in production.
• Analyze root causes and develop practical automation concepts.
• Own automation projects from the initial idea through implementation and handover.
• Build and integrate solutions involving software, hardware, sensors, and automation systems.
• Coordinate external service providers, suppliers, and machine builders when required.
• Support production technicians with troubleshooting and technical improvements.

Requirements

• Currently studying Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Preferably near the end of a bachelor's degree or enrolled in a master's program.
• Passion for automation and practical experience building, programming, or developing solutions.
• Analytical, independent, proactive, and hands-on working style.
• Knowledge of areas such as PLCs, Python, robotics, sensors and actuators, electrical engineering, CAD, industrial networks, MES, or production systems.
• C1 proficiency in either German or English and at least B2 in the other language.
