Associate Buyer - Womens (Luxury Fashion)

What you will do

• Support the Buyer in researching, selecting, ordering, and managing high-quality merchandise from local and international suppliers.
• Manage product selections, markdowns, stock levels, re-orders, and buying-plan alignment.
• Coordinate with suppliers, Planning, Supply Chain, warehouse, and customer service teams on deliveries, payments, samples, vendor agreements, special orders, and stock availability.
• Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, damaged merchandise, and faulty-product returns, ensuring corrective actions and credits are processed.
• Conduct competitor visits, pricing analysis, and market intelligence research.
• Consolidate buying feedback and prepare reports and recommendations for the assigned brand portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Buying, Merchandising, Retailing, Brand Management, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in a similar buying or merchandising role.
• Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive analysis.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building trusted relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience using inventory-management and order-processing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Fluency in English.
• Passion for luxury fashion and a keen eye for emerging trends.
• Willingness to travel for buying trips, supplier meetings, and market visits.
