Managing Director, Data & AI

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska, United States. Hybrid work is available for associates living within 30 miles of an office location, with in-office presence three days per week. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual compensation: $230,000–$250,000.

What you will do

• Own the segment-wide data strategy, operating model, investment sequencing, measurement approach, and multi-year roadmap.
• Unify data engineering, governance, AI, and automation through shared intake, prioritization, and delivery practices.
• Oversee data platform architecture, consumption governance, costs, and roadmap priorities.
• Establish governance practices covering policy, lineage, data quality, and access.
• Set the strategy for AI and automation in business processes, including AI adoption and the Citizen Developer program.
• Lead directors, develop senior leaders, manage performance, and partner with C-suite and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale data organizations and senior leaders.
• Experience owning an enterprise data strategy from definition through multi-year execution.
• Executive-level influence with C-suite and business stakeholders.
• Practical depth in data engineering and data governance sufficient to direct and challenge those teams.
• Existing U.S. work authorization is required; current or future visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI/ML and intelligent automation to business processes with measurable outcomes.
• Experience in regulated or financial-services data environments.
• Experience establishing a modern data operating model based on data products, domain ownership, or an equivalent approach.
