Executive Communications Manager

Location: Based in the San Francisco or New York City hubs, United States; in-person onboarding is required.

Annual base salary: $153,000–$269,000 USD

What you will do

• Build the narrative framework executives use to tell Figma’s story and develop their own points of view.
• Write essays, keynotes, social posts, op-eds, and other executive communications.
• Partner with executives to sharpen ideas and create clear, credible messaging.
• Collaborate with the communications team on media strategy, messaging, and channel selection.
• Build systems and infrastructure for consistent, differentiated executive storytelling.
• Measure impact and encourage experimentation in executive communications.

Requirements

• Extensive experience crafting narratives for senior executives across formats, channels, and audiences.
• Experience writing for C-suite executives with strong opinions and high standards.
• Executive presence and the ability to influence people outside the direct reporting line.
• Media relations experience and sound judgment in press, messaging, and reputation management.
• Comfort with ambiguity, deep curiosity, and a record of delivering strong work.

Nice to have

• Journalism or editorial experience and a strong instinct for newsworthy stories.
• Experience in technology, creative work, product design, or product development.
• Business literacy and the ability to translate complex financial and technical topics for broad audiences.
• Passion for Figma and its products.
