Senior Counsel Litigation

Location: In-office role based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or another hirify.global hub location in the United States

What you will do

• Manage actual and threatened litigation across multiple lines of business.
• Perform significant and complex legal research, analysis, consultation, and documentation.
• Select, manage, and provide strategic direction to outside counsel.
• Oversee outside counsel expenses and determine when external legal support is appropriate.
• Combine outside counsel advice with internal stakeholder input to provide practical guidance to management.
• Engage with external organizations to advance the corporation’s legal interests and legal health.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction; multiple active state issuers are preferred.
• Typically 8 or more years of industry-relevant experience.
• Knowledge of legal compliance, legal consulting, legal practices, legal risk, regulatory compliance, and risk assessments.
• Strong legal analysis, decision-making, communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.
