Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in the Washington, DC metropolitan area or Lexington, MA; qualified remote candidates in the United States may also be considered. Travel to Ft. Meade or Lexington, MA approximately twice per month for four days is required. Eastern timezone hours are expected.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy AI-driven automation frameworks for reverse engineering complex Linux-based embedded systems.
• Design and implement intelligent emulation solutions using LLM-powered autonomous agents.
• Automate configuration analysis, dependency mapping, and environment adaptation.
• Build software for constrained and air-gapped deployment environments with local execution optimization.
• Integrate hardware and software while maintaining system compatibility and reliability throughout the reverse engineering lifecycle.
• Use program analysis tools such as Ghidra or IDA to support reverse engineering workflows.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen and hold at least an interim clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• At least three years of software or algorithm development, emulation, Linux internals, systems programming, and software design experience.
• At least three years of experience with Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, XML, SQL, and object-oriented software development.
• Experience with Linux command-line environments, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, Maven or Gradle, and Make or Autotools.
• Experience with Ghidra or IDA, hardware and software integration, and software documentation.

Nice to have

• Rust or Go experience.
• Air-gapped network experience.
• Cross-compilation and toolchain customization.
• Eligibility for TS//SCI clearance.
