What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain dbt Core projects, models, macros, snapshots, tests, documentation, and reusable transformation frameworks.
- Build scalable cloud data warehouse solutions and ELT/ETL pipelines using AWS services, dbt, SQL, and Python.
- Develop dimensional models, data marts, fact tables, dimensions, star schemas, snowflake schemas, and slowly changing dimensions.
- Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from operational systems, APIs, SaaS applications, healthcare platforms, and third-party providers.
- Optimize queries, data structures, transformation workloads, and pipeline processing for scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with application, business, BI, analytics, remote, and offshore teams in Agile planning, reviews, testing, and releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Five or more years of experience in data warehousing, cloud data engineering, or related data platform roles.
- Strong hands-on dbt Core experience and advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, analytical transformations, query tuning, and performance optimization.
- Experience with Amazon Redshift and AWS services including S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda, and Step Functions.
- Proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and scripting, plus knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and software development best practices.
- Experience with enterprise data warehouses, reporting, business intelligence, self-service analytics, Agile delivery, and batch, micro-batch, or near-real-time pipelines.
