IT Developer, Advisor

Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work with required reporting to an SCE facility and residence in California. The position may require up to 45% travel throughout the SCE service territory.

Salary: $129,200–$193,700 per year

What you will do

• Translate business needs into software solutions, applications, automations, integrations, and technical designs.
• Collect and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop cross-functional, multi-platform applications.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, prioritize risks, and implement and monitor system improvements.
• Improve code stability, performance, reusability, and ease of support while promoting reusable software components.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, stakeholders, and users to resolve defects and refine solutions.
• Support development quality assurance, project budgets and timelines, implementation activities, and post-deployment hypercare.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience in information technology development.
• Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle models, methodologies, and coding standards.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL, Visual Basic, or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with automated reports, analytics, dashboards, data visualizations, and decision-support tools.
• Must work and reside in California and be able to report to an SCE facility under the hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions for non-technical audiences.
