Data Scientist (Generative AI)

Location: Hybrid work in Fundão, Lisbon – Expo, or Vila Nova de Gaia – Cais Gaia, Portugal

What you will do

• Design and develop interactive search experiences powered by Generative AI.
• Implement and optimize Generative AI solutions on Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or on-premises infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and deliver AI-driven products and services.
• Develop, version, and execute Python code to build and refine AI models.
• Deploy and manage AI models across different environments while ensuring performance and scalability.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in AI development, focused on Generative AI.
• Strong Python programming skills and knowledge of AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with cloud or on-premises AI deployment, including storage, compute, and services such as Vertex AI, SageMaker, or Azure AI.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI models and tools, including text generation APIs, chatbots, or enterprise search solutions.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with vector data stores, custom embeddings, and deriving insights from embeddings.
• Basic knowledge of data warehousing and analytics tools such as BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or Snowflake.
