TL;DR
Data Engineer (Data Governance/Cloud Platforms): Building and managing data quality frameworks, governance processes, catalogs, lineage, and cloud-based data architectures with an accent on Data Lakes, Lakehouses, NoSQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks. Focus on defining quality metrics and KPIs, monitoring data processes, resolving data issues, and supporting delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid)
Salary: €28,000–€52,000 gross per year

What you will do
- Define and improve data governance and data quality frameworks, standards, policies, and processes.
- Establish data quality rules, metrics, KPIs, monitoring processes, and issue-resolution mechanisms.
- Manage data ownership, stewardship, business glossaries, data catalogs, and data lineage.
- Work with Data Lake, Lakehouse, and NoSQL architectures.
- Use Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary and global teams while maintaining high delivery quality.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
- Professional experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with data ownership, stewardship, catalogs, glossaries, and lineage.
- Fluent written and spoken English required.
