Scientific Director, Clinical and Real World Evidence (RWE)

Salary: $211,000–$400,500 per year

What you will do

• Lead clinical and real-world evidence strategy, study design, execution, and innovation within the Quantitative Insights Lab.
• Guide cross-functional teams and contribute as both a hands-on scientific expert and project leader.
• Design and analyze patient cohorts using clinical, multi-omic, EHR, biobank, phenotypic, and real-world data.
• Generate evidence for drug discovery, biomarker identification, patient stratification, and R&D pipeline decisions.
• Harmonize data workflows and methodologies with RWD teams and cross-functional partners.
• Communicate scientific findings and help shape the laboratory’s strategic direction.

Requirements

• M.D. degree required; board certification and clinical expertise strongly preferred.
• At least four years of hands-on experience in real-world evidence or EHR analytics.
• Experience designing and leading interdisciplinary clinical data science initiatives, including project management.
• Advanced knowledge of integrating clinical, genomic, and real-world data and applying analytical methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and experience presenting scientific findings to internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with R, Python, or SQL and regulatory guidance for real-world evidence.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience with large-scale biobank or EHR datasets.
• Relevant scientific publications and presentations.
• Experience aligning data science strategies with R&D pipeline objectives and measurable business outcomes.
