Civil Engineer Expert - Remote (AI)

hirify.global is supporting a project focused on advancing AI evaluation through realistic civil engineering scenarios and technical assessments.

What you will do

• Create civil engineering evaluation tasks covering structural design, transportation, water systems, and site development.
• Prepare technical materials including engineering drawings, geotechnical reports, specifications, cost estimates, and code references.
• Develop complex problems involving constraint reasoning and code compliance.
• Determine accurate engineering solutions against applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
• Build evaluation rubrics and validate realistic CSV, PDF, spreadsheet, and engineering dataset outputs.
• Collaborate with project teams to improve task quality, clarity, and realism.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional civil engineering experience across relevant project types.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design, technical analysis, documentation, and regulatory code interpretation.
• Experience preparing or reviewing engineering drawings, reports, specifications, compliance materials, or datasets.
• Ability to reason through complex engineering constraints and validate technical outputs.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.
• No prior AI experience is required.

Nice to have

• PE license or active pursuit of licensure.
