Tax Advisor (CPA) - Remote

hirify.global is running a tax-focused project involving tax preparation, advisory services, and AI-generated content evaluation.

What you will do

• Prepare and review Form 1040, Schedule C, 1120-S, and 1065 tax returns.
• Provide clear guidance on complex tax concepts and filing requirements.
• Review AI-generated tax advice against defined rubrics and scoring criteria.
• Verify tax documentation, deadlines, applicable forms, and federal and state tax requirements.
• Develop and refine tax evaluation rubrics and grading standards.
• Monitor changes in federal and applicable state tax laws.

Requirements

• CPA qualification with an active license in good standing and U.S. practice eligibility.
• 5+ years of professional tax preparation or advisory experience.
• Strong experience with personal and small-business tax returns.
• Knowledge of current U.S. federal tax regulations and at least one state's income tax requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Availability to work as a part-time contractor.

Nice to have

• Experience evaluating AI-generated content or providing structured feedback.
• Experience developing rubrics or assessment criteria.
• Familiarity with ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake, or similar tax software.
