Senior Python AI Engineer

Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; in-person collaboration is prioritized.

What you will do

• Develop, integrate, optimize, and industrialize AI/ML solutions for business use cases.
• Translate requirements into scalable AI applications, including APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, architects, and business and IT teams in an agile environment.
• Build and maintain MLOps pipelines for training, versioning, and monitoring, and support production deployment.
• Use generative AI coding tools, structure prompts, validate generated code, and contribute reusable documentation and prompts.
• Improve testing, code quality, scalability, latency, and cost efficiency while sharing AI best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python development experience with an AI/ML focus.
• Strong experience with ML/DL frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face, and LangChain.
• Hands-on LLM experience with fine-tuning, prompt engineering, RAG, and agents.
• Experience using Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor for development.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus MLOps and CI/CD pipelines for AI solutions.
• Understanding of data engineering, including data pipelines, preprocessing, and feature engineering.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and vector databases; API development with FastAPI, Flask, or REST.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, GitHub or GitLab, and testing tools such as pytest, unittest, and coverage tools.
• English is mandatory; the role operates in an English-speaking environment.

• Computer Vision and/or NLP experience.

• Ability to structure problems and write effective AI prompts, while critically evaluating AI-generated code.
