Team Manager HR Operations with German

Location: Hybrid in Katowice, Warsaw, Poznań, or Wrocław, Poland

What you will do

• Lead the HR Operations Team in delivering outsourced HR services according to contractual scope and SLAs.
• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, tax withholdings, and regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve payroll results while analyzing and resolving errors or discrepancies.
• Set team objectives, KPIs, and development plans; conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and 1:1 discussions.
• Drive process improvements, automation, data-driven decision-making, and testing for system changes.
• Coordinate with auditors, vendors, and external partners and act as an escalation point when required.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of payroll experience, preferably in outsourced, shared-service, or complex organizational environments.
• Proven experience in people leadership, coaching, team development, and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and social security regulations.
• Experience with payroll systems and advanced Excel skills.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant commercial qualification; payroll certification is advantageous.
• Very good German and good English, both written and spoken, are required.
