Senior Software Engineer - Generalist (Game Development)

Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, Canada, or Los Angeles, United States

What you will do

• Debug and resolve complex issues across large-scale codebases and multiple abstraction layers.
• Design, own, and maintain gameplay and engine systems for consoles and dedicated servers.
• Measure game performance, prevent regressions, and improve launch stability.
• Analyze live telemetry and crash data to identify defects, prioritize fixes, and improve player experience.
• Build developer tools and automated content validation for artists, designers, and QA.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development and maintenance experience, or equivalent game development experience.
• Strong working knowledge of C/C++ and proficiency in Python or other programming or scripting languages.
• Experience with performance profiling, auditing, optimization, production debugging, and support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with large shared codebases and continuously operated products, including feature flags, kill switches, and staged rollouts.
• Experience with embedded scripting, content or asset build pipelines, automated validation, developer tooling, backend or web services, and cloud infrastructure.
