TL;DR
Senior RF Signal Processing Engineer (DSP): Developing electromagnetic warfare sensing systems that detect, classify, and geolocate RF emissions with an accent on advanced DSP algorithms, RF/SDR hardware integration, and spectrum sensing. Focus on generating and analyzing I/Q data, implementing signal classification techniques, and executing field demonstrations of distributed sensing technology.

Location: Hybrid, on-site 3–5 days per week in Hawthorne, California or Washington, D.C.; periodic travel up to 30%

Salary: $180,000–$230,000 per year in base compensation, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Develop, implement, and refine DSP algorithms to detect, identify, and track RF signals.
  • Help transform passive radar systems into distributed spectrum sensing systems.
  • Integrate and test signal processing software with RF/SDR hardware and host processing platforms.
  • Model signal processing systems and work with recorded and synthetic I/Q data.
  • Support field demonstrations and collaborate with Business Development, Production, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant development experience with RF sensing systems and advanced signal processing.
  • Practical knowledge of FFT analysis, matched filtering, cyclostationary analysis, and related techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or MATLAB, plus experience with software-defined radios and signal processing toolkits.
  • Experience working with recorded I/Q data and generating synthetic I/Q data.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • M.S. degree and current U.S. security clearance.
  • Expertise in cyclostationary processing, electromagnetic spectrum sensing, and signal classification.
  • Experience with communication waveforms, tactical applications, RFSOC hardware, or DoD and government environments.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and agile development tools.
