What you will do

• Design and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures on GCP.
• Build batch and streaming architectures with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage.
• Develop scalable data models supporting analytics and machine learning use cases.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Data Fusion, Composer, Airflow, and dbt.
• Implement IAM, VPC Service Controls, DLP, encryption, and data governance for compliance with standards such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders while improving BigQuery performance and cloud costs.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform, ideally with Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Strong SQL and Python or Scala skills, with experience in Spark or Beam.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services, Terraform, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Looker, Vertex AI, or multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of real-time data tools such as Bigtable and Firestore.
