Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Employment is limited to U.S. persons authorized to access export-controlled technology.

Salary: $169,000–$216,000 annually, plus potential stock options.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing payloads, reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses.

What you will do

  • Develop reliable flight software controlling spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules throughout their missions.
  • Write structured bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux-based embedded software in C++.
  • Own software design, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Scope projects, capture requirements, and make initial design trade-offs for open-ended problems.
  • Ensure software quality and system performance through testing and V&V techniques.
  • Collaborate with the Flight Software team to solve technical problems and support flight operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
  • Strong C++ development experience and understanding of C++ language concepts.
  • Must work on-site in El Segundo, California.
  • Must be a U.S. person and lawfully authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • End-to-end experience building and launching spacecraft.
  • Experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems and aerospace safety-critical software.
  • Experience with CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems, F' or cFS.
  • Python or Rust experience and knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT.
