Mission Operator (Automated Driving)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite overnight shift with up to 50% travel across the U.S.

hirify.global develops automated driving technologies, including Level 3 systems, for Ford vehicles at scale.

What you will do

• Drive test vehicles on local missions of up to 300–400 miles and multi-day U.S. travel missions.
• Operate on varied schedules, including overnight shifts.
• Perform vehicle startup, system engagement and disengagement, and shutdown procedures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot software and hardware systems while driving.
• Execute development testing under strict safety and compliance protocols.
• Record vehicle performance accurately and collaborate with engineers on system feedback.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least two years of employment experience.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and compliance with minimum driving-record requirements.
• Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
• Ability to pass ten-panel drug screening, criminal background checks, and motor vehicle record checks.
• Computer proficiency, basic software and hardware troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to remain focused during long driving hours and work professionally with people from diverse backgrounds.

Nice to have

• Experience in technical driving, fleet operations, or vehicle testing.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics, data logging tools, Jira, Slack, or Driver Schedule.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree.
