Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX or Southlake, TX, four days per week; night shifts from 2pm–10pm CST and weekend support as needed.

Salary: USD $120,000–$155,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Protect the stability, performance, and resiliency of the Order Management System.
• Assess and resolve complex production incidents and restore critical systems rapidly.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, database, and vendor teams to reduce business impact.
• Improve production readiness and operational excellence through automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Develop operational best practices, mentor engineers, and support knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in Production Support, Site Reliability Engineering, Software Operations, or a related technology support role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting experience with Java-based distributed applications and SQL-backed enterprise systems.
• Strong Oracle Database, SQL analysis, database troubleshooting, Linux administration, and RHEL experience.
• Experience with AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, InfluxDB, Control-M, Python or Shell scripting, and high-severity incident response.
• Availability for night shifts, weekends, rotating on-call support, and required on-site work.

• Experience developing monitoring strategies, runbooks, and escalation procedures.
• Experience implementing permanent corrective actions and improving application supportability.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, change management, risk management, security, or compliance experience in regulated environments.
