What you will do

• Manage production services by monitoring availability, capacity, and overall system health.
• Shape systems before launch through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Scale and evolve distributed systems to improve capacity, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Define and maintain Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives.
• Build automation and self-healing capabilities to reduce operational toil.
• Conduct incident management, capacity modeling, and performance tuning in collaboration with engineering and technology teams.

Requirements

• Experience with Java, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with automated testing, SDLC concepts, Linux application development, algorithms, data structures, and software design.
• Proficiency with observability technologies such as distributed tracing, logging, and metrics.
• Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and load balancing in distributed systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, debugging, automation, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• SRE experience, relational databases, Hadoop, big data technologies, or financial industry and compliance experience.
• Experience with Chaos Engineering, cloud-native architecture, managed cloud services, error budgeting, or infrastructure as code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
