TL;DR

What you will do

  • Support all phases of the medical-device design and development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to troubleshoot design issues and identify improvements.
  • Write and interpret product requirements, engineering change orders, build requests, feasibility protocols, and technical reports.
  • Design and set up feasibility tests in a laboratory environment, including management of engineering materials.
  • Participate in product design reviews, technical reviews, triage brainstorming, and device integration activities.
  • Execute design verification testing supporting design improvements, regulatory clearance, and commercial release.

Requirements

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Computer Science, Industrial, or another Engineering discipline.
  • Preferred 1–2 years of experience as a Systems or Project Engineer in medical devices or another regulated industry, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, scientific methods, medical devices, and applicable regulations.
  • Technical writing, effective communication, planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Experience with laboratory testing equipment and data analysis using MATLAB.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of communication technologies, mobile technology, and IoT.
  • Experience with Jira, Helix, Bamboo, Bitbucket, SolidWorks, or Pro/Engineer.
  • Hands-on, inquisitive approach and willingness to challenge design decisions.
