What you will do

• Execute component risk assessments for new PPAP tasks and determine the required PPAP level for suppliers.
• Notify suppliers and internal project members, send PPAP packages, manage PPAP tasks in Windchill, and complete P-24 records.
• Evaluate PPAP submissions against engineering drawings and company specifications, including dimensional, metallurgical, chemical, hardness, and functional test results.
• Perform fit, form, and function evaluations; coordinate approval signatures with manufacturing engineering, product engineering, production supervision, and supplier quality engineering.
• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measurement tools, electrical measuring equipment, and voltmeters.
• Support root cause analysis, troubleshooting, rework and repair instructions, supplier reporting, non-conforming material processes, and MDI team updates.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in quality-related work.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering requirements, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with dimensional and electrical quality measurement equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment and lift up to 35 lbs. as requested.

Nice to have

• Ability to learn coordinate measuring machine (CMM) and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
