Location: US-PA-Cheswick (EMD), Pittsburgh area

Salary: $76,200–$110,000 per year

What you will do

  • Perform thermal analysis of rotating machinery and associated fluid systems.
  • Provide thermal support for ASME Code analyses and analyses based on other pressure vessel and engineering codes.
  • Conduct advanced thermal analysis of nuclear-grade equipment for commercial and government applications.
  • Develop thermal analysis techniques to support equipment design and mechanical analyses.
  • Model equipment thermal performance and verify models through testing.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to DoD requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of engineering analysis experience.
  • Proficiency in finite element analysis, hand calculations for thermal analysis, and modeling thermal performance of sophisticated systems.
  • Experience with ANSYS.

Nice to have

  • Experience with WECAN and/or EMDAC finite element programs.
  • Commercial nuclear industry design and analysis experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer credentials.
