TL;DR
Senior Mobile Developer (BLE) (Ionic/Capacitor, Android, iOS): Developing and optimizing mobile applications that bridge web technologies with native device hardware, with an accent on Bluetooth Low Energy integrations, AI-augmented development, and cross-platform architecture. Focus on building asynchronous native bridges, robust Android background services, complex BLE connections, battery optimization, and future Swift/CoreBluetooth expansion.

What you will do
- Develop and optimize mobile applications, starting with an Android-only application and later expanding to Android and iOS.
- Build Capacitor plugin interfaces, native bridges, boilerplate UI, and test suites with AI coding tools.
- Review and correct AI-generated TypeScript, Kotlin, and Swift code, including permissions and native API interactions.
- Architect high-performance communication between JavaScript WebViews and native hardware for asynchronous BLE data streams.
- Lead Android BLE implementation, including background services, GAP/GATT connections, MTU negotiation, reconnections, and battery optimization.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams on project status, recommendations, and delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Ionic, Capacitor, or a similar web-to-native framework.
- At least 3 years of native Android development with Kotlin or Java, including background services, thread management, and Android 12+ permissions.
- Advanced native Bluetooth Low Energy expertise, including GATT, GAP, connection stability, auto-reconnections, and MTU negotiation.
- Experience developing custom native plugins and exposing native functionality to JavaScript through modern plugin APIs.
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude across multi-language stacks.
- English proficiency and strong communication skills are required.
Nice to have
- Native iOS development with Swift and CoreBluetooth.
- Knowledge of SQLite, Realm, and offline-first mobile application strategies.
