Base salary: Canada Intermediate CAD $113,400–$162,000 annually; Canada Senior CAD $158,000–$207,000 annually; Canada Staff CAD $200,400–$248,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate high-performance iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and modern concurrency.
• Own systems across ideation, API design, testing, CI/CD, instrumentation, live-traffic monitoring, telemetry, experimentation, and iteration.
• Modernize architecture by decomposing monoliths, building shared libraries and frameworks, and improving modularization across iOS, Android, and Web.
• Evaluate Apple platform capabilities and lead adoption across new operating systems, devices, form factors, and architectures.
• Build the internal AI harness, including agents, automation workflows, evaluation pipelines, and guardrails.
• Define observability and fault-tolerance standards while partnering with product, design, backend, and data teams and mentoring developers.

Requirements

• Deep production experience with Swift, SwiftUI, modern concurrency, and Objective-C interoperability in large, long-lived codebases.
• Personal ownership of a consumer iOS application at significant scale, defined as 1M+ monthly active users or comparable, across many release cycles.
• Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools in production, including comfort with AI generating most of the code while retaining ownership of architecture, correctness, and quality.
• Architect-level judgment, including modular system design, technical trade-offs, performance optimization, and system-level debugging.
• Hands-on mobile reliability ownership covering SLOs/SLIs, instrumentation, telemetry pipelines, on-call, incident triage, fault tolerance, and live diagnostics.
• Technical leadership across multiple teams, including setting direction, mentoring senior engineers, and driving measurable performance, reliability, or user-impact improvements.
