Social Media Specialist (Retail)

Location: Hybrid role based in Chiswick, West London, UK, with onsite attendance at Chiswick Park two days per week

What you will do

• Develop and execute social media strategies for assigned retail categories across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Create, schedule, and publish content while maintaining an editorial calendar aligned with brand, trading, and promotional priorities.
• Collaborate with merchandising, platform strategy, performance marketing, content, and digital store teams to deliver campaigns that drive engagement, traffic, and sales.
• Create social-first content with presenters, brands, and external partners, including coverage of PR events and external shoots.
• Track, analyse, and report on social performance, trends, competitor activity, and campaign results to optimise future activity.
• Support paid social optimisation, including Meta boosting and TikTok Spark Ads, and contribute to company reputation and promotional planning.

Requirements

• Strong experience managing social media and content strategy in a retail environment.
• Excellent knowledge of major social platforms, their audiences, and their use in achieving business goals.
• Creative content creation, copywriting, and promotional writing skills.
• Experience analysing and presenting social performance data and converting insights into action.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across teams and functions.
• Knowledge of customer journeys, digital content publishing, online best practices, and paid social campaigns.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, or Meltwater.
