LPN - Medication Nurse (Part-Time)

Location: Westerly, Rhode Island, USA; onsite at 86 Beach Street

Salary: $35.00 per hour plus bonus potential

What you will do

• Administer methadone as prescribed and ensure safe, accurate dosing.
• Screen, evaluate, and assess new and existing patients, then observe and document their response to treatment.
• Collect and document urine specimens, monitor lab work and physicals, and maintain complete patient dosing records.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and handle medications in accordance with DEA regulations, including preparing courtesy and vacation dose packages.
• Support regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards while creating a respectful, compassionate treatment environment.
• Collaborate with counselors, nurses, and the broader care team; help onboard and mentor new nursing staff.

Requirements

• Active LPN license in the state of Rhode Island
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing, bending, stooping, keyboarding, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Ability to use appropriate personal protective equipment when required.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of medication dispensing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, breathalyzers, and other clinical devices.
• Strong data entry, computer, and electronic medical records skills.
• Critical thinking, decision-making, prioritization, and independent and collaborative working abilities.
