Database Administrator Expert (Oracle)

Location: Rome, Italy, with smart working under a hybrid work model

Salary: Gross annual base salary starting from €40,000, determined according to the applicable Italian collective labor agreement.

What you will do

• Manage database operations and performance tuning with end-to-end technical ownership from design through implementation.
• Define and support backup, restore, and service continuity strategies.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues and resolve complex technical problems.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on application integration and work with clients and technical teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level team members and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
• Participate in hiring by conducting technical assessments during interviews.

Requirements

• Professional experience in operational database management and performance tuning.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and independent task-management skills.
• Experience with Oracle Standalone and RAC, Oracle GoldenGate, and Oracle Data Guard.
• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, infrastructure teams, and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI tools.
