Python Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, Portugal

Salary: €28,000–€52,000 gross per year

What you will do

• Build Python-based applications and APIs, ideally with FastAPI.
• Develop AI-enabled recommendation and conversational systems.
• Design and apply evaluation frameworks for LLM and AI systems.
• Deploy and manage services using Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Cloud.
• Contribute to challenging client projects in a growing international consulting environment.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience with Python.
• Experience building APIs, ideally with FastAPI.
• Expertise with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience building AI-enabled applications, particularly recommendation or conversational systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLM or AI system evaluation frameworks and understanding of how AI systems differ from deterministic systems.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and a great level of English.

Nice to have

• TypeScript, EKS, or AWS experience.
