Head of Operations (Accounting)

hirify.global is building an end-to-end real estate investment platform that makes property ownership more accessible globally.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of more than 7,000 annual accounts and corporation tax returns for UK property companies.
• Own capacity planning, work allocation, productivity, quality controls, and compliance with Companies House and HMRC deadlines.
• Act as the senior technical escalation point for UK statutory accounts and corporation tax matters under FRS 105 and FRS 102 Section 1A.
• Lead AI and automation adoption, identify process improvements, and provide operational feedback to tool development teams.
• Lead and develop a 45+ person Manila operation across accounting, customer support, and other functions.
• Own recruitment, engagement, retention, progression, and the development of supervisors and team leads.

Requirements

• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification with sufficient technical depth to support and challenge the accounting team.
• Proven experience leading 30 or more people through a management layer in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience with capacity planning, productivity measurement, quality management, and operational data.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, drive AI and automation adoption, and provide practical feedback on tools.
• Strong people leadership, decision-making, ownership, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with UK statutory accounts and corporation tax.
• Background in property, real estate, or financial services.
• Experience with shared service centres, BPO, or outsourced finance operations.
• Experience leading customer support or service functions alongside a technical operation.
