Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Build, deploy, and scale machine learning systems for production use.
• Consult with data scientists on training machine learning models.
• Improve ML infrastructure through data engineering and DevOps practices.
• Design real-time and event-driven systems that meet throughput and latency requirements.
• Implement non-functional requirements, reliability measures, and production safeguards.

Requirements

• Prior experience productionising machine learning systems.
• Advanced Python skills and familiarity with SQL.
• Working knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Kafka Connect, Pub/Sub, Kubernetes, Docker, and deployment strategies such as canary and blue-green releases.
• Experience building CI/CD systems, applying software engineering practices to ML, and working with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Dataflow, or Flink.
• Experience with cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, plus system design experience focused on performance and efficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience training machine learning models.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps tools such as KubeFlow, DVC, or MLflow.
• Prior experience or a strong interest in fintech.
