Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Requires Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance

Salary: $163,000–$178,000 per year, plus $41,000–$44,000 in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions.

What you will do

• Procure, configure, test, and prepare new inference models for release to users.
• Build in-house services and techniques that maintain reliable, high-quality inference.
• Develop dependable pipelines for using closed-source models in collaboration with model vendors.
• Support short-term, high-priority inference requirements as mission needs evolve.
• Establish infrastructure for AI services and integrate LLM-powered tools for user needs.

Requirements

• Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Poly required.
• Experience with Python or other modern programming languages.
• Familiarity with Argo CD or other CI/CD frameworks.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service providers.
• At least 3 years of experience, plus a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 4 additional years of experience in place of the degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with vLLM, LiteLLM, or similar inference-serving and LLM hosting frameworks.
• Experience supporting production software using SRE practices.
• Experience with Elastic, Grafana, Prometheus, or other observability frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, containerization, traffic shaping, or quality-of-service engineering.
• Knowledge of and interest in hosting AI capabilities.
